It's not often that I post dithyrambic appraisal on a travel agency or whatsoever, but this time yes!

Simply because after many experiences, this agency never failed, regularly provided the kind of service and human touch we are so much striving for down here!

MONKFOOT Travels sent us to Ajanta and Ellora caves, gorgious. Even though we missed our flight and took another one, they managed to keep the program, the driver was absolutely nice and clever, bringing us to not so conventional places we love, hotel package like a fairy tale and finally, they managed to get the failed ticket reimbursed pretty fast. Isn't it a good service?

The same in Corbett: we went 3 days with Ratnabh. Fantastic! We saw so many animals !, including an evening in the middle of a herd of wild elephants (probably one of the greatest memory of all my travels), and Ratnabh, managing quietly the situation, discussing about all topics with interest.

Our friends from China visited Rajasthan with Monkfoot: same experience, same . They even got reimbursed a part of the taxi because it was < not exactly >  what was expected. They still do not believe that it happened in India!

Such experiences are quite rare, specially when it comes to having a regular excellent service in all details. Believe us, we have thousands of km in the feet, back-pack style, but with Monkfoot, it's something different.

To all travelers who want to rest from time to time: Just try it

We had the ultimate travel to the North East of India. This journey, as we have experienced it should only take people who want to see a lot of new, interesting, exciting and adventurous. These people will get their money's worth ! There were but unforgettable impressions of regions that are avoided by tourists and for comfort-seeking people. And that's a good thing, because that would be out of place there.

In addition to our dream trip to Assam and Arunachal Pradesh, we had booked 2 more train travel in Monkfoot.

The first took us into the Thar desert to Jaisalmeer, for me, the dream city of One Thousand-and-One-Night. Although many Western tourists, Jaisalmer is worth the trip. Especially if you can book through Monkfoot the hotel where we have stayed. In the old town, accessible only on foot, a museum the same, with a great service.

The second destination was Amritsar, close to the border with Pakistan. The Golden Temple, the largest shrine of the Sikhs, is so impressive that I will not describe here can.

Finally, very many thanks to Lara and Ratnabh of Monkfoot, who made such a great experience.

Thank you for a wonderful 16 night tour of Delhi, Agra and Rajasthan (Jaipur, Jodhpur, Chandelao and Udaipur) for my husband, 21 year old daughter and I in Q1, 2017.  From our initial contact in December, Delhi Airport Meeting, until our return to Sydney, Australia last week, Monkfoot has provided an outstanding end to end holiday experience.

Monkfoot was recommended to us by friends.  Our trip planning with Ratnabh was easy, always timely and proved to be an excellent program of activities, accommodation and travel.  All Guides - Manoj in Delhi, Rashid in Agra, Pushpendra in Jaipur, explorer Maghav from Virasat Experiences also in Jaipur, Uday for the Jodhpur Rural Drive, Kan in Jodhpur, Jitendra in Udaipur and our Driver Manjeet for everything in between, with their extensive historical and local knowledge were 1st Class and offered flexibility with itinerary and question handling.  All accommodation recommendations were perfect for our needs and delivered beyond our expectations.   Likewise all travel arrangements with Driver Manjeet, Innova vehicle and return flight to Delhi provided the safety and comfort we were looking for on our first visit to Incredible India.

Nothing was too much trouble for Ratnabh and his patience with my personal Golden Triangle of Urban, Rural and Relaxation experiences was terrific.  Throughout planning he gently offered recommendations and suggestions, he came to meet us personally at the airport and gave us some very helpful general thoughts on India and some airport orientation for our return, and during the tour he texted to check on us.  It felt like Ratnabh planned a program that allowed us to adjust to the sensory overload that is India for these uninitiated Australians.

For us it’s the people we meet that give richness to our experience.  In particular Ratnabh who was quietly determined that we have the best possible time and seemed to know that we would, the Singh family and their dogs who owned the Jaipur Royal Heritage Haveli and gave us their personal mobile in case we needed them and spoke with us on several occasions and where we bought a lovely set of Mughal inspired coin cufflinks from their daughter’s design studio ‘Kesna’ for our son, Mr Prahuman Singh owner of Chandelaogarh who is doing wonderful work for his village with their irresistible Arts and Crafts Centre and Computer Centre complete with 30 PC’s and a supervisor for after school enrichment and Mr Manjeet Singh, our Driver, who got us around and kept us safe.

Perhaps it’s uniquely a Rajasthan feeling but I suspect that the forts and palaces that we visited made my husband feel like a Maharaja and my daughter and I feel like Princesses.  It was like we were in purdah peeping through the marble fretwork catching glimpses of Indian history, religion and culture.  We were fascinated by everything and by how our confidence grew throughout the tour as we became accustomed to the sights and sounds revealing themselves to us.  It was hard to close our eyes during travel days and it was harder to keep them open in the evenings after days filled with so much stimulation.

To Ratnabh and all the team at Monkfoot we thank you and wish you a Happy Holi.  We’ll be telling our friends about Monkfoot’s India.  One day we would like to return to India to visit the Himalaya region and South India.

Kind Regards, and much gratitude for a truly wonderful Monkfoot experience,

Howard, Eliza and Pam Smith ( visited Delhi, Agra and Rajasthan - Jaipur, Jodhpur, Chandelao and Udaipur)

I can tell you with absolute certainty that we The Alphonso's were blown away with our Corbett and Sonapani experiences.  We just loved every minute of it.  Our visitors I think are still very wide eyed.

Andre and I want to thank you very much for everything you did to make that trip as special as it was.  The guides and drivers were exceptional.

Dhikala - there really is only one place to stay in Corbett and that's Dhikala.  Again the accommodation is clean, adequate and good clean food.  Also the staff at Dhikala were extremely helpful with any request or enquiry.  What a wonderful place both in scenery and atmosphere.

Sonapani - just beautiful.  Ashish and Deepa have built a wonderful little village and are very welcoming.  Food was great; accommodation was great, fresh air was magic and the views spectacular.

I don't have time to go into great detail but thought you might like to refer to our blog to get a sense of our experiences - particularly Corbett.

Warm regards

The advice on hotels and shopping was excellent.

The drivers were cautious and prepared.

The guide in Ladakh (the tibetan monk) was knowledgeable and very nice!

Sorry it has taken me a while to get back to you, but after Ranthambore we only had a couple of days in India before heading back to the UK and straight in to work (and the snow!).

I just wanted to say thank you very much for sorting everything out for us, and making our trip possible. I fully appreciate that it was not a very straight forward job and very much appreciate you making it possible.

Despite the weather on Wed which was less than ideal, our trip was ultimately a great success given we got to see a Tiger on Thurs morning! However, even without this, the scenery in Ranthambore is absolutely stunning, and a trip to the Fort is worthwhile on any occasion.

Once again, thank you for all your effort on this.

Best wishes,

Mairi Mcguiness  UK (Visited Ranthambhore)

Here is our feedback on the trip to Srinagar that we did from 31/03/12 to 04/04/12 :

Highlights : - Overall organization of the trip : perfect

- Car and driver : (The driver has all the qualities : his driving is just perfect, he is a very nice guy, he is knowledgeable and we were able to communicate quite easily with him despite his "broken" English.

- The houseboat on Dal Lake: No doubt that it is the very best houseboat location of Srinagar : excellent boats, very professional and nice peoples, very peaceful location and excellent food !)

Conclusion : - Excellent trip !

I have not yet had the opportunity to thank you for the magnificent travel you arranged for me and my friend,Susanne.

We had an extremely well organized tour, where we were looked after from the very beginning. We began our travel in Varanasi where our guide was waiting outside the airport. We were taken to a charming hotel just next to the river Ganges. He took us on a boatride, where we saw a lot of fires with dead corpses – it was an experience I shall never forget.

When we arrived to Jaipur our guide was on the spot again. We did not have to worry one second. We came to a beautiful hotel, where they gave us a magnificent service. We were so surprised, when we had had our dinner, and they not even charged us for the wine! Our guide took us to the station and I was a bit nervous for the tour, but he followed us into the compartment and did not leave until the train took off. We both slept the whole way to Udaipur, where we again were taken care of.

The hotel was so great. The food was gorgeous and the pool magnificent.

As you can understand we were so pleased  with everything:  the men who welcomed us, our guides, the hotels, the arranged tours, EVERYTHING.

We have been talking about it again and again. We have both travelled a lot,but we have never experienced such a well organized tour. It was so wonderful that we felt you were together with us the whole time. Thank you for calling us and asking how we were.

I want to thank you so much for your help.

Yours sincerely

Tove Kjeldsen, Denmark  (Varanasi, jaipur and Udaipur)
