Himalaya means the House of Snow. The entire Himalayan range of mountains, with majestic peaks and magnificent valleys of incomparable beauty, stretches over 2500 km bordering five countries (Indai, Nepal, Bhutan, Tibet and Pakistan) .
In India, the Himalayas mountain region extends all along the northern border of the country in the shape of an arc. The Indian Himalayan Region (IHR) is a range that spans eight states of India namely, Jammu & Kashmir(including Ladakh), Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Sikkim, and Arunachal Pradesh as well as the hill regions of two states -Assam and West Bengal.
We bring you journeys that take you from the foothills through Himalayan villages to high altitude arid Tibetan plateau while observing the changing social landscape with varied customs and inhabitants of different states.
