A short tour to explore the smallest and one of the most beautiful state of India. An introduction to the himalayan Istate and its extraordinary natural and cultural riches with many other destinations to explore later.

This remote Himalayan region of Sikkim, borders Tibet to the north and is wedged between the Himalayan kingdoms of Nepal and Bhutan to the east and west.
The state capital of Gangtok is nestled within higher peaks of the Himalaya & enjoys mild temperate climate. It is a center of Tibetan Buddhist culture & learning, with many monasteries, religious educational institutions, and centers of Tibetology.
Drive through the beautiful mountains with green rolling slopes, rushing hills streams, Rhododendrons and sparkling orchids. Enjoy a thrilling drive to high altitude Tsomogo Lake, visit hilltop monasteries and enjoy walking through the villages of Pelling & Yuksom.

Best Time to visit and climate:
The best time for this trip is April - May & October - November. June onwards is it starts raining in the mountain areas leading to bad road conditions and landslides. December - February is very cold.

Brief Itinerary

Day 1 – Delhi-Bagdogra-Gangtok
Transfer to Bagdogra by Air
Transfer toDarjeeling (70 km / 3 hrs)
Day 2 – Darjeeling Sightseeing
Darjeeling Sightseeing
Sunrise trip to Tiger Hill summit
Joy Ride (UNESCO heritage) toy Train
Afternoon - heritage walk.
Day 3 – Darjeeling-Pelling
Transfer to Pelling (85 km / 3 hrs)
Explore Pelling : Pemayangtse, the most important centre of Tibetan Tantrik Mahayana Buddhist religion and culture.  Pemayangtse and Sangachoeling monastery,
Pelling – Ravangla (56 km / 2.5 hrs).
Day 4 – Ravangla - Gangtok
Visit coronation place of Sikkim’s first king. 
Visit Sikkim’s Tea garden Temi and the gigantic Guru Rimpoche Statue at Samduptse.
Visit Tashiding Monastery (the most sacred Monastery of Sikkim) & Bon Monastery.
Ravangla-Gangtok (57 km / 3.5 hrs)
Day 5 – Gangtok Sightseeing
Visit Rumtek Dharma monastery , Phodong and Enchey monastery, Chorten Stupa, Namgyal Institute of Tibetological Studies, Directorate of Hand Loom and Handicraft.
Day 6 – Gangtok-Bagdogra - Delhi
Transfer to Airport ( 120 km / 5 hrs)
Transfer to Delhi by Air
